Bruiser
Dog of the Week
Bruiser is a 6-year-old Retriever mix with a big frame, a big heart, and an even bigger capacity for love. This gentle boy has so much goodness to give — he just needs the right person to help him shine. Life at the shelter can be a little overwhelming for Bruiser, and he sometimes struggles with stress and anxiety in his kennel. But once he’s outside, you’ll see the real Bruiser — calm, affectionate, and eager to connect. He’s currently on some anxiety medication and a special diet for allergies to help him feel his best, and he’s doing great with both. Bruiser knows how to sit and has a fun little trick of catching treats mid-air! He’s housebroken, well-mannered, and enjoys a mix of chill time and playful moments. He’s working on managing his excitement, especially in busy environments, and he’s looking for a patient, understanding adopter who can help him continue to grow. Bruiser would do best in a home without kids or other pets, where he can have plenty of walks, consistency, and love.

Ghost
Cat of the Week

Ghost is a beautiful 7-year-old black and white lady with a perfect mix of sweetness and sass. She carries herself with quiet confidence and just a touch of spunk, making her a truly special girl. Ghost likes to take her time getting to know new people and surroundings. She’s not one to rush into things—but once she feels safe and comfortable, her gentle, affectionate side begins to shine. Earning her trust is incredibly rewarding, and she forms meaningful bonds with the people she chooses. Because she prefers a peaceful lifestyle, Ghost would do best in a calm, adult-only home where she can relax and settle in at her own pace. She also has hyperthyroidism, so she will be on life-long medication. She’s a good girl who simply needs a second chance and a quiet place to call her own.
